The ghost in Gleipnir is a ghost that looks like Honoka but was created by Kaito after he gained the power of the coins. Kaito uses the ghost to attack any human that tries to find the alien’s ship.

Who is Honoka in Gleipnir?

Honoka was a close friend of Kaito, Aiko, Shuichi, and Elena.

She is responsible for the Coin Hunt game after being one of the first people to find one of the alien’s coins. She inspired the alien to create the game with it’s first players.

Honoka was a seemingly happy and confident girl but she was secretly jealous of Aiko’s life.

Why Was the Ghost in Gleipnir Created?

Aiko commited suicide and Honoka used the power of the coins to take her appearance after quickly burying her.

Kaito was secretly in love with Honoka and later noticed her mannerisms when she saw Aiko.

Kaito eventually learned that Aiko was really Honoka and mistakenly thought that Honoka killed Aiko and stole her appearance.

Feeling hurt over the loss of Aiko and being angry over Honoka’s action, Kaito murders Honoka out of revenge.

After finding out the truth that Aiko killed herself, Kaito become overriden with guilt after needlessly killing Honoka.

He took a coin to the alien and apparently used it’s power.

Kaito created the ghost who looks alot like Honoka and uses the power of the 100 coins to defend the alien’s ship.

Furthermore, he uses the ghost to kill anyone who tries to find the alien’s ship.

Why Did The Ghost Attack Shuichi?

The ghost attacked Shuichi because Shuichi starts remembering his past. The ghost is only interested in people who try to find the alien’s ship.

However, Elena manages to erase Shuichi’s memory to prevent him from remembering and being killed.

Elena protects Shuichi by erasing his memory of his parents because the ghost had killed his parent. She also erases memory of most of his past and the whereabouts of the alien’s ship.
