Welcome to Anime Soldier! I’m Mike. I started watching anime when Cartoon Network aired shows like Dragonball Z, Cowboy Bebop, and Yu Yu Hakusho on Toonami. Since then, I’ve watched various types of anime and not just the typical shounen series. What got me hooked into watching anime was the depth of storytelling, the quirky characters, and the ability to make you feel very powerful emotions.

  Alot of the themes and storytelling that I was interested in was missing from traditional television so I was lucky that anime filled that void. There is no greater feeling than finishing a series that touches you or has such a strong emotional impact that you wish you can just watch and experience it all again (ex. Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, Steins Gate, Berserk, Gintama — Some of my favorites!) . I created this site because I wanted to express my love for anime and discuss some of my favorite series. My hope for this site is to provide amazing content for readers, have meaningful discussion, and build a nice community. I’m always on the lookout for quality anime and I’ll be discussing the older anime shows that have been around, as well as the newer ones that come out.
