What Did Kaname Ask For In Darwin’s Game?

After Kaname wins Darwin Game’s first major event, the Treasure Hunt, he asks the game master for a privilege that allows him to force his opponent to bet the same or as high as possible as him when Sunset Raven enters a clan battle. Kaname’s special privilege is called “High Roller“.

What is a High Roller?

A high roller is a gambling term that is used when a gambler consistently wagers large amounts of money. They are also referred to as a “whale” as they can bring huge revenue to casinos.

Why did Kaname Ask for the High Roller Privilege?

Kaname asked for the High Roller privilege because he wanted to discourage killing as much as possible in the game. His high roller privilege does this because when an opposing clan loses enough points, the entire clan disappears.

Background

Wang teleports outside the warehouse, but ends up in front of Kaname. Wang surrenders the battle unaware that Kaname used his High Roller privilege from the game master that forces the challenged clan to wager the same amount the Sunset Ravens. With the Eighth out of points, Wang and Keiichi disappear. Feeling insulted by his final words for being called a poisonous insect, Kaname furiously shoots Wang as he disappears.
